Jake came home from school Monday with the news that his reading class was putting on a play that they've been working on. "It's tomorrow, and parents can come watch!" Instead of following my instincts and double checking his intel with the teacher, Max and I showed up Tuesday. We were greeted with a quizzical look from his teacher. Apparently the play was WEDNESDAY. Jake said he knew that, he just thought Monday WAS Tuesday. Hmmm. So we returned today for the actual performance. They put it on in the library for parents and the other second grade classes. It was about the Native American cultures. Time Travelers went back in time to learn about different tribes. Jake was the Inuit "tour guide" for the time traveler who visited the Eskimos. He did a great job!! Max had kind of a hard time sitting still and being quiet for the 45 minutes or so, but it was very fun.
