Five Boys!

Soren, Richard, Jake, Zach & Max

My sister Carol, niece Christy and great nephews Soren and Richard came down Tuesday and Wednesday. The five boys had lots of fun playing together. We had to laugh when we realized that the wild full house of five boys was pretty much the same as what my sister Margie had years ago, plus a girl! She had six kids in about eight years - wow. I don't know how she did it. Anyway, Christy and the boys are visiting from Alaska for a few weeks and it was great to see them.

Jake had a school assignment to make an insect out of recyclable materials. They have been learning all about insects, and it had to have all of the correct body parts. Here he is with his...complete with abdomen, thorax, six legs, head and two antennae.

Thursday was Zach's kindergarten field trip to Como Zoo. Laura was nice enough to take Max for the entire day (and swap vehicles with me so she could haul three kids around) so that I could volunteer. It was so fun to be able to spend the day with just Zach. I'm afraid my middle child doesn't get a lot of one on one time with Mom. We had a perfect sunny day for it, and had such a good time.

It's hard to believe he will be finishing kindergarten next week! He's learned so much and made some great friends. Where do the years go?!
