Potty Cake (tastes better than it sounds)

The part for my oven came in! Poor Max had to wait to get his official "potty cake". This is a cake made by Daddy when you are completely potty trained, big boy undies only. In any color of Max's choosing, with any color frosting. He went with blue and blue. We light candles and sing, it's very festive! I am so HAPPY!!!

We got a call last night from a friend whose sons are in hockey. She was calling to congratulate Jake. The hockey teams for this season were posted last night and he jumped a level. He started on A Mites last year (his first year of hockey), so we assumed he would move up a level to B (a lot of kids don't, they stay the same, but we thought he'd move up). However, after the past few weeks of tryouts, he was moved up to C Mites, skipping B. This is exciting for him! Not as exciting for Mom and Dad, because while A and B Mites only play at your home arena, C Mites travel. They also play tournaments and cost about $320 more for the season (fees go up as the kids move up). He was bummed that his friend in his grade that he played with last year didn't make it though (he went up to B Mites). I have a feeling it will be challenging to work the schedules with both boys playing at different arenas. Oh well, we'll see how it goes. I guess if wants to stick with hockey, it's a great opportunity to be challenged more this year. Now they play full ice, have regular goalies, they call off sides, etc. Congratulations Jake!
