SKATE!

Max had his last Learn to Skate class Sunday. He got a certificate and a T-shirt. He really did a great job, and had fun being like his big brothers!

Skaters Keep Achieving Through Education - SKATE! Last night was the Elk River SKATE Recognition Night. All kids in Elk River Youth Hockey, grades 1 - 12 who have grades over a certain GPA are invited. Jake and Zach were both invited, and we had a fun night. They each received a certificate, T-shirt, aluminum water bottle, and Buffalo Wild Wings gift certificate. We had a pizza dinner, and two senior hockey players with straight A averages spoke. They also gave out lots of door prizes. Jake won a gift card to the local movie theater. It's fun, and a great way to stress to the kids how important it is to do well in school and get good grades.

Jake and Jay were invited to go to the Wild hockey game later on Sunday with Jake's friend Tanner and his dad Paul. They had really good seats, and had a great time. Jake's been really lucky to go with them a couple of times now.
