Well, we've entered into summer vacation full swing! Jake and Zach are done with school. They played spring flag football, both on the same team with 4 of their good friends. It was fun, and they enjoyed trying a new sport. They are both taking golf this summer and started classes last week.
We had a few free days and the kids and I were able to go up to my Mom & Dad's house. We had so much fun spending time with them, and being up there for Father's Day.
Zach had his regular check up at the Cleft Clinic at Minneapolis Children's Hospital Wednesday. It went really well. He is in the clear and will definitely not have to have the bone graft (from hip to mouth) that we once thought he would need. Everything looked so good, we do not have to go back in for three years! In the meanwhile it will just be orthodontics.
We've set up once a week play dates with friends from school (3 other families) and the kids (and moms) are having fun getting together. Last week we brought bikes and a picnic to the park, this week was a rainy day so we went to a movie and had lunch at McDonald's. We're still doing Max's play group and MOMS Club activities too.
This Friday Zach goes away to sleepaway Cub Scout camp for the weekend. He is very excited - I'm a little worried. But I know he will have fun!
