Math is Fun!

Jake was selected to compete in his school's Math Bowl! The school tests all fourth and fifth graders in math and takes the top kids to compete in teams for the Twin Lakes Elementary Math Bowl. He was so excited - when he got up the morning of the Math Bowl he said, "Mom, this is one of the best days of my life!". You have to love that enthusiasm!! Jay took the afternoon off work and Melissa watched Max so that we could go and watch. Jake (and all the kids) did a great job. His team missed winning by only a couple of points and came in second (the winning team advances to a district competition). We are so proud of him!!

Cub Scouts went sledding last night. A very nice day turned into a bitterly cold, windy evening. It was freezing! Luckily for me, Max got cold and wanted to go warm up, so we spent a lot of time back in the heated van! The boys had a great time though!
