Hi Mom!

I've been neglecting my blog for a few months now...but I promised my Mom to get back at it to keep her updated while they are in Texas for the winter. So, "HI MOM"!! Zach is home sick from school today (he had to go throw up in the middle of breakfast!), so our schedule for the day has been changed to staying home, and here I am!

The end of the summer flew by. We wrapped up Max's T-ball season. He LOVED it! After our vacation we fit in another camping trip with our friends the Bucherts. The boys had a great time and were so excited to camp with their buddies (they have two boys). Unfortunately, that was our last adventure in the camper. Due to age and mechanical difficulties, Jay insists that it be retired as he & Judd's "hunting shack". So, it is now at their hunting land until it's demise. Very sad for the boys and I.

We had a great time at our annual trek to the Minnesota State Fair. Good people watching and wonderful food!!!

Labor Day weekend we went to our friends the Pearsons cabin. They have three boys in similar age to our boys, and Judd, Melissa & the girls went too. We all had a great time relaxing, 4 wheeling and playing in the woods.

We had a fun fall hockey season with both Jake & Zach on the same team, and several of their friends on the same team as well.

School started back up with Jake in 4th grade and Zach in 2nd, and I started out my 2 year term as PTO co-chair.

Max & Zach celebrated their birthdays in October with a family party at home and a party with their friends at Grand Slam Sports. Zach turned 8 and my baby is already 4!! We were happy to get a chance to spend a few days with Mom & Dad before they headed south.

We had a fun Halloween. Max trick or treated in downtown Elk River the Friday before Halloween (the businesses put it on) and we also went up to school to watch the costume parade. Max dressed as a firefighter, Jake was a cowboy and Zach was a construction worker.
On Halloween day we went to Madison's birthday party and trick or treated that night with the neighbor friends. They all switched costumes for that night. Max went as Elmo and Jake & Zach were "unknown phantoms" in creepy black!

We had my nephew Luke & his new wife Katie over for dinner last week. The boys were so excited to see them. Zach performed a magic show, and Max had them playing games.

Jake & Zach are in Cub Scouts again this year. Jake's Webelo den went to the charity Feed My Starving Children and packed meals (to send to starving children). It was a really neat experience, and a lot of fun too. Zach's den had fun going bowling last week.

Jake and Zach started the regular season of hockey, and just got their team placements. Jake is a B Mite and excited to have two of his good friends on his team. Zach is a C Mite and also has a friend on his team too. They'll be practicing with their teams now and gearing up for games to start in a month or so.

I'm getting excited for my annual shopping weekend with my sisters coming up. I'm looking forward to a little getaway!
