Max was so excited to find a penny on the floor at the grocery store today. He carefully zipped it into his jacket pocket.
Every time we go in or out of stores Max likes to give money to the Salvation Army bell ringers. At the start of the season he had a conversation with one who explained to him how they use the money to help people. So when he saw the bell ringer at the exit door of Cub he asked if we could give on the way out. I gave him money, which he put in the kettle, and as we went to leave he said,"Wait! Can you unzip my pocket?". Then he added the penny from his pocket to the kettle.
Sometimes the smallest gestures mean a lot. He melts my heart!
Wednesday I got to go with Zach's second grade class on their field trip to see the play "Junie B. Jones: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, P.S. so does May!" It was really fun - a funny play, and so great to get to spend the day with Zach & his class. Auntie Missy was nice enough to watch Max so I could go, so he had fun at her house with her and the girls.
